RI Native Beisel Heading to 2nd Olympics!

Published on July 2, 2012, by in Olympics 2012.

Omaha- Elizabeth Beisel went into Omaha, Nebraska with one goal in mind and that was to make the 2012 London Olympic team. She did just that with taking 1st in the 400 Individual Medley and finishing second in the 200 Backstroke. This will be Elizabeth’s second Olympics as she snuck in last year as a surprise to many, but this year she’s heading to the Olympics as the favorite in the 400 Individual Medley. She’s already World Champion in that event and looks to bring home Gold to Rhode Island. Elizabeth swims at the University of Florida and her club team Attleboro Bluefish sent 19 swimmers to the Olympic Trials quite an accomplishment out of Massachusetts.

Here at New England Sports React we would like to wish the best of luck to Elizabeth on her quest to bring home Gold!

Go Team USA!
