Patriots finally hit the airways this evening as they play in the first pre-season game against the New Orlean Saints. The game begins at 7:30pm and it’ll be a great change with people watching another New England team besides the Red Sox. I’m really looking forward to seeing the new rookies adjust to the NFL and the schemes of the New England Patriots. Below are a few of the players I’ll particularly be watching closer than most.

DE- Chandler Jones
CB- Ras-I Dowling
DB- Tavon Wilson
Yes, majority of these players are rookies and this is their 1st game in a Patriot’s uniform, however each one of the above players has something to prove this year on the defensive side of the ball which was horrific last year. Dowling in particular is looking to prove something after missing last year with injuries, but his size makes him a valuable corner in the NFL and he looks to prove why the Patriots drafted him in the 2nd round.
