Interleague Play comes to Fenway!

Friday June 8, 2012- The Washington Nationals come into town for the weekend for a quick 3 game series. Interleague play is always an exciting way for fans to see teams from the National League visit their home team’s park. Some of the superstars this weekend that Sox fans will see from the Nationals are Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper, and Ryan Zimmerman. The Nationals have 2 first overall draft picks on the starting roster with immense talent. This series is a great opportunity for fans to see these exciting players live in person. Stephen Strasburg takes the mound tonight vs. Felix Doubront which should be an exciting matchup with 2 young hurlers facing off. Both pitchers are best of their staff at the current moment and tonight’s game should be an exciting one. Red Sox look to bounce back after dropping 2/3 to the Baltimore Orioles and hopefully can follow up what Clay Buchholz did last night with a complete game shutout. Dice-K returns to the rotation and is scheduled to pitch Saturday at 4:10pm. It will be interesting to see Dice K back on the mound after his Tommy John surgery last year.
