Dodge Leaving NASCAR After Season

Published on August 8, 2012, by in NASCAR.

The other day Dodge announced that it will be leaving NASCAR after this season.  This is sad news for the sport which has worked with Dodge since before I was born, but who can really blame Dodge for backing out.  The sport is dominated by Ford and Chevrolet and the only notable drivers who drive a Dodge car in the Sprint  Cup are Sam Hornish Jr. and Brad Keselowski.  This will not affect the sport too much, but it is just a sad reminder of the economic times we are in.  We do not know by whom or if Dodge will be replaced, but there are not many candidates to do so.  Please feel free to leave a comment on which manufacturer should replace Dodge for next Sprint Cup season.
