An Upsetting Way to End the Season

Published on February 5, 2012, by in NFL, Patriots.

As I write this my head is still spinning in thoughts.  The “what ifs” keep popping into my mind.  What if Rob Gronkowski had played at 100 percent?  What if Tom Brady’s deep ball to Gronk had gone just a little further?  What if Wes Welker had caught Brady’s pass on 2nd-and-11?  What if the last-second hail mary had hung up just a little longer?  It’s such a shame that the Patriots season ended like this.  Yes, there were some controversial plays that happened in the game, but that is now in the past.   All we can do is sit here and wait ’till next year, trying not to listen to the media as they are going to blow this up just like they did in 2008.  It’s an absolute travesty; I am still at a lost of words.  All we Pats fans can do now is hold our heads high.  After all, the team had a great season and honored the memory of MHK well.  Plus, we still have the Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox seasons to look forward to…

Concluding the NESR Playoff Predictions, this is how the team finished:

Standings as of 2/5/12

Jay: 8-3

Ryan: 7-4

JC: 7-4

John: 6-5

Jon: 4-3

Zach: 3-4

Nick: 2-3
